About Husker Du
While REM received worldwide success of the highest degree, Husker Du, a similarly post-punk alternative rock band received only a cult following. Like REM, Husker Du came from a city that was not New York, Los Angeles or Boston, but rather Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota (REM are from Athens, Georgia). The band's name translates to Do you remember, a Danish phrase influenced by their Danish origins.
